So who am I?

I am a scientist & engineer
Modern problems will require modern solutions. It means using science to keep our families safe, supporting innovation in business & creating a community that is STRONGER together

I am a public school kid
I'm an alum of Mason High School - this biggest high school in Ohio. And going to such a well-funded school set me up for success, but our politicians are stripping away $$ from public schools.

I am an
American
Put the political disagreements to the side for a minute. When was the last time that you were truly happy with our government? I love our country but I'm not proud of our politicians. We and YOU deserve better
Okay great - so who really are you?

Let's get into the details! So I’ve spent all of my life in Ohio. I grew up in Mason and am a proud product of Ohio’s public schools. My parents chose to settle in Mason because of our high education quality and I am committed to making sure that our public schools continue to be the best. My parents are truly the epitome of “pulling themselves up by the bootstraps”. They immigrated to the United States with nothing but a visa, a vision of the American Dream, and me. With that goal in mind, they raised 2 children, bought a dream home in Mason and have continued to contribute to their local communities. Their hard work inspired me to always address issues, and to do so in real ways.
Throughout high school, I remained committed to this mantra of problem solving and advocacy. Whether it was in the lab as I worked to deploy water-quality tools in the area or organizing voter registration drives across the county. Even before I was old enough to vote, I made sure my parents voted regularly in our elections.
After graduating from Mason High School, I went on to complete my Bachelors & Masters in Biomedical Engineering with focuses in policy & public health. During my time in college, I interned for several campaigns and official government offices - in addition to advocating in Congress for legislation on medication pricing caps and international peace.
I wish that my interest in politics turned on overnight, after all that would be a far easier story to explain. But it came together slowly. I saw how our community came together during the pandemic to donate food and ensure every student (whether they were at-home or school) would go to sleep with a full stomach. How our city council has been able to accomplish so much more once we stopped seeing ourselves as left or right but rather Ohioans.

But though we’ve started to overcome “us vs them” at the local level, its still too prominent in our State House. I don’t care about party or past. I care about implementing real-world solutions. I want to make sure that my generation can afford to buy a starter-home before the age of 50 (which we can do with initiatives like land banking) or making sure that one healthcare bill doesn’t bankrupt a working class family. Think about how "Big Pharma" can get away with charging 10000x the cost for life-saving medications like insulin? I'm not pro-government - I am pro-freedom. The freedom for Ohioans to live, be healthy and start successful lives here.
I will get things done. We can, and SHOULD start putting policies in place to make sure that we, our kids and grandkids can prosper.
